Product Manager

Our software schedules people, projects, and capacity for business and technical service providers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and beyond. The product is the heart of that story — and we are looking for someone to take ownership of it.

About the role

Currently, we don’t have a dedicated product manager. That no longer works: the product deserves someone who is focused on it every day. You will be that person. You are the pivotal link between the front-end of the organization — our Revenue Operations team, which talks to customers daily — and the back-end: the development team that builds it. Everything we deliver passes through your hands.

This is explicitly not a role where you spend all day creating strategy decks. You contribute to the direction, but above all, you make it happen: designs, specifications, testing, release communication, documentation, demos. If you enjoy building a product yourself that gets better every two weeks, you’ll fit right in.

Building the future for our customers

What I enjoy so much about working at Timewax is the freedom to experiment, optimize, and help customers achieve lasting success. Every day, we work with a dedicated team on the Timewax of tomorrow.

CUSTOMER SUCCESS MANAGER

What will you do?

Defining and guarding direction

  • You manage the internal roadmap and align it internally every quarter and annually.
  • You translate the internal roadmap into a public roadmap that all customers can vote on.
  • You align priorities weekly with the CEO, who acts as the product owner.
  • You plan the realization together with the Development Manager and monitor progress.

Designing and specifying

  • You create product designs in Figma — and increasingly with Claude, which helps us get designs to developers faster and more directly.
  • You write clear, complete specifications that developers can work with without needing follow-up questions.
  • You test delivered functionality. Our Customer Support Specialist takes over a significant portion of the testing work from you.

Preparing and delivering releases

  • You keep the knowledge base in Confluence up to date — largely automated via MCP servers and Claude.
  • You monitor product translations via Babel, where AI does the heavy lifting and you ensure the quality.
  • You create interactive product tours and videos for product marketing.
  • You update the Revenue Operations team weekly on what has been delivered and what is coming up.

Informing the outside world

  • You communicate directly in-app with end users about what's new.
  • You monitor feedback, roadmap votes, and change requests.
  • You test new functionality directly with customers.
  • You present the product vision at our annual customer day.
  • You analyze how the product is actually being used.

What we ask

We are looking for someone with 3 to 6 years of experience in a product role at a software company — as a product manager, product owner, business analyst, or functional designer.

You certainly don’t need to program, but you do understand how a web application is structured: data models, APIs, integrations, permission structures, release processes.

Your manager

“We are going all-in on AI by developing autonomous planning agents. With this, we are going to transform the field of resource planning. I am looking for a product manager with the 'drive' to execute that strategy together with me.”
Mark de Jong
CEO

What we offer

You will get an independent role. You will receive direction and context, but no daily management. You are allowed to say no to good ideas that are not a priority right now.

This is a broad, operational role in a small company. There is no team below you and no management path above you. What there is, however, is a product that you shape from start to finish and an organization where your decision today will be on the screens of hundreds of users next month.

Where will you end up?

Timewax is a compact company without management layers. That means short lines of communication and a lot of influence. We are a small, experienced team of about 20 people with a no-nonsense culture.

In development, we have a very international team with 8 different nationalities and a relatively high number of women. The primary language in that team is English.

What's next?

The procedure consists of an introductory interview with the CEO and a second interview with the Development Manager and Revenue Operations Manager. We conclude the procedure with a practical assignment in which you analyze an existing Timewax feature and present a proposal for improvement.
